About: Wilton Youth Services tends to the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of Wilton’s young people. We provide information on all things child-related, referrals, consultation with parents and professionals, case management, problem assessment, and counseling services. Youth Services, along with the Director of Social Services, offers assistance to families with financial need to ensure children can access extracurricular activities.

Youth Services collaborates closely with parents, schools, and other youth-serving organizations to identify youth problems and needs and collaborates in developing solutions. Additionally, Youth Services  partners  with the Wilton Youth Council, a private non-profit organization, to offer community, parent, and youth programming.

About: Mental health crisis intervention services are provided by teams of mental health workers (psychiatrists, RN’s, MSW’s, psychologists, psychiatric technicians) who intervene in situations where an individual’s mental or emotional condition results in behavior which constitutes an imminent danger to him or herself or to another. Mobile crisis teams visit people in their homes or community sites, and others meet clients in clinics or hospital emergency rooms. Psychiatric emergency rooms and mental health facilities can provide crisis services to people in crisis who can travel or get help with transportation to a facility.

Kids In Crisis provides temporary housing and comprehensive medical, educational and therapeutic support services for children of all ages in Fairfield County. It is the only Connecticut agency that can house children from newborn to age 18, of any gender,including a safe and welcoming environment for LGBTQ adolescents.
